Wilsonville dental group is one of the few general dental practices in Portland offering intravenous (IV) sedation. We serve patients with a wide range of needs including those with dental phobias, anxiety, fear of shots, severe gag reflexes and complicated medical histories. In addition, we provide treatment to patients who seek IV sedation for the purpose of relaxation or convenience, thereby turning a stressful or lengthy appointment into a pleasant and comfortable experience.

We are committed to minimizing stress and maximizing safety. We are just as committed to eliminating pain. We'll minimize discomfort prior to starting the IV with local numbing medication. While your sedation is sitll in effect, we will give you pain medicaiton to ensure that as you awaken from your sedation, you will be as comfortable as possible, regardless of what procedures you had done. As you are discharged from our office after your dental treatment, we may also provide you with a prescription to ensure your comfort even at home. For your safety and comfort, IV Sedation procedures are provided by a physician who is a board certified anesthesiologist.

I have worked up quite a fear of dentistry over the years and anesthetics have stopped working when the adrenaline kicks in, so I sought out a dental office that could put me to sleep while the work was being done. I am very happy to have found Dr. Clark and the Wilsonville dental Group. All of the staff members went out of their way to make me comfortable. The exams were painless, and the work went quickly (as far as I know - I WAS ASLEEP!!)

I am also very happy with the work that was done. I got a root canal, two crowns and a filling all at once and have had no trouble with any of them. They fit me right the first time and I didn't need follow- up. I cannot say that about any other dental work done in my mouth to date.

My daughter Mattie has a great deal of anxiety about having dental work done. Mattie was in the need of a root canal and some fillings, and because of her fears and response to treatment she needed to have the work done while under anesthesia.

What could have been a horrible experience turned out to be refreshingly calm. The dentist, the anesthesiologist and all the assistants were wonderful with my daughter and the work was completed without the usual hysteria.
